Developing Leaders

Mission Statement: To provide a forum focused on networking, education, and community involvement for young professionals to grow as leaders within the Northeast Florida commercial real estate industry.

NAIOP's Developing Leaders program is the catalyst you've been looking for to propel your budding career to the next level. We provide the tools, networking and resources you need to gain that competitive edge. If you're a commercial real estate professional who's 35 or under, your Developing Leaders community can take you from where you are now, to where you want to be!

The Developing Leaders program is geared specifically for professionals 35 years and under. Membership entitles you to connect and network with our commercial real estate professionals and gain instant access to the latest industry news and educational opportunities. But most importantly, our program was designed to help you CareerForward by offering you the tools to propel you to the next level. For those looking for an edge, participation in the Developing Leaders program is a no-brainer!

The Northeast Florida NAIOP chapter started its Developing Leaders program in 2008. By the end of the year, it grew to 45 members, the fastest growing segment of the group. The Developing Leaders group has been active in the community participating in Habijax and NAIOP sponsored annual events.

As a Developing Leader, young real estate professionals are provided with the following opportunities:

  • Access to leaders in commercial real estate throughout Northeast Florida
  • Connections to peers in the real estate industry
  • Networking events
  • Educational Programs
  • Community Volunteer Work

Membership Information

All NAIOP members who are age 35 or under qualify to participate in the Developing Leaders program, no matter if you joined through the Developing Leaders membership category or as part of a corporate membership. As long as you meet the age requirements — and NAIOP has your date of birth on file to verify it — you automatically have immediate access to all the benefits of the program. If you are not currently a member of NAIOP and wish to get involved with the Developing Leaders you may do so by becoming a joining NAIOP. In 2010, despite the overall chapter membership being down, the Developing Leaders were able to add 4 new members bringing our total to 55.
